What is Juvederm XC?
Juviderm XC is a high quality dermal filler with a hyloronic acid base. It contains an anesthetic agent to eliminate the pressure pain patients experience after injection.
Why is Juvederm XC better?
There are several quality fillers on the market. We feel Juvederm XC is better because it is a high quality product that produces excellent results. Some dermal fillers contain animal based ingredients. Juviderm XC contains no animal based products and while synthetic, it mimics the body's own natural chemical base and there has been almost no history of rejection.
What about Botox?
Botox® is botulinum toxin. When injected into muscle tissue, Botulinum toxin atrophy's the muscle. The result can be a relaxed appearance in the skin that helps smooth out wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is not a suitable replacement for a dermal filler. The toxin can spread uncontrollably from the injected area and affect other areas outside the localized injection. Botulinum toxin (or Botulism) is poisonous to humans. If administered improperly or if it spreads to unintended areas of the body, it can be life threatening or fatal. The long term effects of botulinum toxin administered to humans are just starting to be realized. LaserCare does not sell or administer botulinum toxin or other neurotoxin agents.
How long does Juvederm XC last?
Results vary from patient to patient but you can reasonably expect a retention time from 6 months to 2 years
